February 5, 2019 - FunFly in 70 degree February weather!

It was in the low-70s this afternoon so I took off early from work and Mugsy and I took advantage of the warm weather.  I was weaing a sweatshirt on the drive to the airport but once there, it was so warm I had to lose the sweatshirt and just wore a T-shirt!

Mugsy came over to W48 and then we crossed the Bay and did a fun fly over the Eastern Shore.  There was still ice on the Bay from the cold weather of last week.

I flew lead for the first half of the flight while Mugsy followed in loose trail.  Then we switched.  Now I'm following Mugsy.

That's not land; that's a big piece of floating ice on the Bay.

This is an interesting picture.  In the foreground is a relatively smooth big piece of floating ice.  But in the background is melting ice that almost looks like surf breaking on a beach.  Clear water is to the left.

The unusual looking ice is deserving of a second look.

Heading home in the late afternoon.
